Do a functions test on a Springfield 1911-A1 pistol

This video teaches you how to function test your Springfield Armory 1911-A1 GI .45 ACP semi-automatic handgun.

Be sure to follow all instruction found in the manual that came with your 1911.

If you are not sure of what you are doing, or if the gun is not working properly, take it to a competent gunsmith.
