Do a forehand volley in tennis

The first step of the forehand volley is the pivot and the shoulder turn. You also want to lay your wrist back during this step to get your racket and arm into a position where you can swing forward correctly in the next step.
The second step of the forehand volley is the forward swing to contact. At the same time, step forward with your inside foot and swing forward by driving your arm and racket -- from the shoulder -- forward as a unit.
