Do a BOSU push-up exercise

Do a BOSU push-up exercise

The push-up is an upper body exercise that targets mainly the chest. Adding the BOSU (BOSU = both sides up) increases the level of difficulty. In addition to the chest, the BOSU ball push up requires the use of the abs, back, triceps, and shoulders.

To begin, place the BOSU ball with the dome side down. Just like in a standard push up, begin on your knees with your hands on the outer edge of the BOSU ball. You will then straighten your knees, making sure your body is straight. Your weight will be supported by your hands on the BOSU ball and your feet on the ground. Slowly descend into the push up motion, bending your arms to approximately 90 degrees or until your chest almost reaches the BOSU ball. Slowly push back up to the starting position, exhaling as you push up. Repeat.

Step 1
Get into push-up position with arms straight. Grasp outer edge of BOSU.

Step 2
Lower your chest to the BOSU platform. Keep back straight.

Step 3
Push back up to the starting point. Repeat the exercise as needed.
