Backflip 360 to 720 - Gymnastics

This is when you jump backwards from both legs, twist at least 360 degrees and land on
both legs again. No hand - floor contact. This can be done tucked or straight. The tucked version is easier to flip, the straight version is easier to twist. You should be able to perform a backflip layout with round-off and a back flip half twist before before you try this.

Technical description: Backflip 360 to 720 - Gymnastics

* Do a roundoff or stand in an initial back handspring position.
* Jump and throw your hands up as if you were doing a normal backflip.
* After you left the ground, pull your hands to the left side of your torso, to twist around the left side. Its very important that you dont pull your hands to your torso to early. Not before your feet are at least 1 ft over ground.

Trainer advice: Backflip 360 to 720 - Gymnastics

* Work with mats at the beginning.
* For the technical training of the backflip twist i suggest to simulate the roundoff with a trampoline, or jump into water from a springboard.
