Dissect a human for the leg and foot

This anatomical video tutorial will show you a deep look inside the leg and foot of a human, much like yourself. If you're a medical student and you need cadaver dissection instructions, this anatomy video will help you along your way. Learn how to dissect a human for the leg and foot. If you get a little queazy, maybe you should take some medication before doing this procedure, otherwise your legs and feet might not hold you up.

1. Review the bony landmarks and osteology.
2. Open the lateral compartment of the leg and identify its muscles.
3. Open the anterior compartment of the leg and identify the muscles within it; follow their tendons into the foot.
4. Trace the vessels and nerves into the lateral and anterior compartments of the leg.
5. Dissect the dorsum of the foot.
6. Remove the skin and subcutaneous tissue from the plantar foot.
7. Identify and dissect the medial, lateral and central compartments of the foot, identifying fascia, ligaments, muscles, vessels and nerves.
8. Dissect the adductor-interosseous compartment of the foot, identifying fascia, ligaments, muscles, vessels and nerves.
