This video clip shows you how to crop a selected region from a digital photo using the Ubuntu image editor. The selected region is then used to create a new image. The default image editor for Ubuntu is the GIMP, or GNU Image Manipulation Program. When using GIMP in the Ubuntu Linux distribution, you can always right-click on an image to bring up a full menu of options.
