Actually you CAN make Opacity keyboard shortcuts without using actions. They are ready in the Keyboard Shortcuts menu under Tools. Just put your shortcut of choice. I recommend just to use the numeric keyboard and use the numbers without any other keys. See my suggestions to many extra shortcuts that do not conflict with the default ones. http://font.is/?p=441
