How to create a widescreen video in Sony Vegas 6

This is a tutorial that shows how to create a widescreen effect out of a 4:3 fullscreen video using Sony Vegas. This is an easy one.
Since most of the cheap cameras that people on YouTube are likely to be using don't shoot actual widescreen WVGA (854x480), but rather just cut off the top and bottom of the screen to make it, you might as well just shoot everything in 4:3 fullscreen just so you can crop it to whatever aspect ratio you want later. Just try not to shoot things too close to the top and bottom of your view-finder, 'cause that would complicate things.
