Help! Although I'm new to this I have read several articles indicate that you should not oil the barrel or cylinder contrary to the video. Is this video correct?

yes this video is right. follow all the steps in this vid but when you use that oil patch be sure it is very lightly oiled. wouldnt hurt to run a dry patch through afterwords either if you are uncertain if you used too much. too much oil in the barrel can be really dangerous. i own a gp 100 (6 inch blued full underlug ;D) i always follow up with a dry patch when i clean.
