Choose and prepare ripe delicious mangos

Learn how to select good mangos and prepare them for eating. Because mangos come in a variety of colors, the best way to know if the mango is ripe is by its smell. The mango should have a fresh fruity odor at the stem. You can also apply pressure near the top. The mango should be firm but give way slightly. Avoid mangos with bruised, dried or shriveled skin. There are a few ways to prepare a mango. The easiest way is to peel the mango and remove the pit. Cut a bit off the bottom of the mango so it sits flat. You can then slice it or dice it into cubes.
