Cast plastic parts for puzzle games

Cast plastic parts for puzzle games

This video tutorial shows you how to cast the very basic plastic parts for puzzles. So, if you want to make your own Rubik's Cube, or your own Megaminx, or your own... puzzle, you're going to have to make rubber molds for the casting. One way to create the mold rubber is Smooth-On's OOMOO 25.

Once your mold is completed, you will learn how to cast those plastic pieces for your next great brainteasing puzzle.

For the plastic resin casting material, try Alumilite Black or Alumilie White. Once you pour the casting resin, it will dry, and you'll have to remove the puzzle piece. Then use an exacto knife or something to clean the excess plastic off of the game part.
