Wish that he would of showed the actual carving and the steps to completing the Marilyn Monroe carving. The steps that he showed on cropping and setting up the picture was good, but I am a visual person.

Look on my website, www.carvingdude.com, and you'll see pictures of all the pumpkins I've done since 1994, plus links to the videos I did, which are all on Youtube. The Marilyn Monroe video was broken up into 3 segments, because Youtube limits a video to 10 minutes. You'll also see me working on Frankenstein, Elvis, Princess Diana, my dog, plus how to wire them up with Christmas lights, etc.
Good luck, and thanks for the comments.

I am so sorry, I did not see that it was in 3 segments. It was really informative and I am going to make this pumpkin for my daughter who is obsessed with Marilyn Monroe. I would not have even attempted this, until I seen all the segments and with your instructions, I feel that I have a chance to succeed. Thank you so much! I really appreciate the visual instructions and dedication for you doing this. A++++ for this website. Again, I am sorry for the earlier comments, I was premature in my comments. I did not see that there were 3 segments (remember I did say that I was a visual person) Thanks!

You are forgiven! No, there was nothing to apologize for, and I hope your pumpkin turned out great.
I do have a few patterns on my website. The one of the Mona Lisa is a favorite. I've gotten some email from people that have won contests with that pattern. Sad to say, there are no contests in my area.

I was a hit with my Marilyn carving at our Halloween party. My daughter loved it, along with my family and all the trick or treaters. Everyone could not believe that I carved it. I told them I had a secret weapon and then I told them about you. I had to give credit where credit is due. I think the look on my daughter's face (that I made it for her) and the disbelief in my son's eyes (that I actually did it and it looked like Marilyn) is priceless and will always hold a special memory in my mind and heart. Thank you again for this! I really appreciate it. I will check out the Mona Lisa and the other patterns on your website.
