Adopt a pet from a shelter

Adopt a pet from a shelter

You can't wait to adopt a rescued animal. But there's a lot to do before you bring your pet home from the shelter.

You Will Need:

* Landlord approval
* Money
* A good shelter
* Completed paperwork and references
* Patience
* A pet carrier (optional)

You will need to decide if you are ready to adopt a pet, check with your landlord, find a shelter, investigate the adoption process, visit the shelter, speak with a shelter worker, and take your pet home.

Fact: On average, more than a quarter of animals found in shelters are purebreds.
