Here's a chance to win some extra bucks and at the same time, make your friend's eyes bug out in disbelief.
Step 1
Get a dollar and a friend. Bet your friend that he/she cannot catch the dollar you're about to drop. Tell him/her that you'll make it easy and put the dollar close to his/her hand. Don't forget to bet a dollar.
Step 2
Get your friend to hold out his/her first finger and middle finger so that it looked like he/she was trying to pinch something or like a pair of chopsticks.
Step 3
Fold the dollar in half and tell your friend to open his/her fingers wide or if you think you are good enough, close together.
Step 4
Make sure the rules are understood. If your friend cannot catch the dollar, you win the bet. If you lose... well you can't lose.
Step 5
Drop the dollar without warning when you are both positioned right.
Tips
- Do not tell your friend when you are dropping the dollar, drop it any time you want. This causes nervousness and tension. After all, who wants to lose a dollar?
- A good tip is to say "Are you ready?" and while you say this, drop the dollar through their fingers. This works because they will not be ready.
- Flinch as though you would drop it. Act like you are getting ready to drop it, almost like a pump fake if you will. This will cause them to flinch and be more nervous
- For higher stakes, and once you get very good at this, try using a 20 dollar bill.
- If you live in Canada, where the dollars are Loonies, this is going to be more difficult. Try a five dollar bill.
Warnings
- Make sure you drop the dollar through your friend's fingers otherwise it will not count.
- Don't forget pick the dollar back up!
- This may result in your friend getting mad, so be ready to run away!
