Congratulations on purchasing your apple iPod Touch! The iPod Touch is the most advanced iPod ever (not including the iPhone), Its the first iPod which can obtain internet through a wireless network and has a touch screen.

Step 1

Take the iPod out of its box and remove all of its plastics, then turn on the iPod using the button on the top left.

Step 2

Then after turning on the iPod, slide your finger across the area where it says to slide.(The screen is a touch screen!)

Step 3

Access the menu. If you have successfully unlocked the iPod, then you will see the main menu. To access this all you have to do is press the button on the bottom of the iPod. (It kinda looks like a square)

  • On the menu page there are 7 icons on the top and or middle area and 4 icons on the bottom. The bottom row is called the dock. It shows on all your home screens for easy access to the applications on it. It is mostly seen on an Apple computer. In the next steps I will show you what which one does.

Step 4

Find the safari (it's the compass; top right) then touch the icon to open it. It will ask for a wireless network. once you have entered a network your internet will open, to type click on the browser bar where you type in websites and a full keyboard will open. This is your keyboard, to type simply touch the letters. I just showed you the iPods internet feature. This only works where the is a trusted wireless network.

Step 5

Now touch the menu button. We will now go to youtube. Basically click the icons and play. Do that with the next icons but stop at settings and don't think about touching the things on the dock!

Step 6

Now we get to settings. this is what makes your iPod yours. To change your iPod's unlocking screen picture go to settings-general-wallpaper then it will give you the choice of pictures default or your own. To put ur own stuff on use the USB connector cord and plug it into your iPod, then your computers USB port (follow instruction manual on this).

Tips

  • Get an iPod Touch case!
  • You should know the interface before you buy it. The iPod touch is not for everyone.
  • Get a screen protector for your iPod touch
