If you want to have a fun Halloween party but don't know whats cool, read this page to make an awesome party.
Step 1
Try to make a room steamy, with a fogger or some dry ice. You might also want to add an eerie glow to the room with candles.
Step 2
Put up fake cobwebs all over the place.
Step 3
Get some of your friends who'd rather SCARE then BE SCARED. Have them wear creepy costumes and pose as decorations in the walkway to your house. Instruct them to jump out and growl /snarl when someone comes up the walkway.
Step 4
If you have some woods or pines nearby, clear a pathway and send people through in groups. Get some more people to dress up and scare people in the woods. Older kids would love to scare kids for a few bucks, or even do it for free. Your parents work mates would work too, because most adult costumes are scarier than kid and teen costumes, and adults are less likely to move and give it away.
Step 5
Hang apples from a tree limb, and have people try to bite them off. But here's the twist, people dressed like creepy clowns (the Joker is a plus!) and cackling is creepy. ESPECIALLY when they're lowering down real-looking toy spiders.
Step 6
Watch some scary movies, or just cool Halloween movies. Some good movies are:
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (One of the scarier HP's, but not too much for the younger ones, if any show up)
- Frankenstein
- Sixth Sense, The
- Hocus Pocus
Step 7
Eat special Halloween foods like:
- Blood Punch
- Eyeball Olives (or grapes)
- Wing of Bat Chips
- Hair of Werewolf Angel Hair pasta
- Fingers of Man Mini-Corn Dogs
- Bone Celery
Step 8
Think of some spooky Halloween games, or just let people do their own thing. The best parties are the ones where you can just talk with your friends.
Step 9
Play Grab-a-Ghost. To find out how, go to the article about it.
Step 10
Let your kid have a boy-girl party. Boys will always play scary pranks on girls, and girls will do so on guys as well.
Tips
- Don't worry if things don't go exactly as planned. Sometimes kids like to just hang out and talk.
- Don't let one kid ruin the party.
- If someone really doesn't want to do something, don't force them to do it.
- Give out party bags at the end.Only if you want to, you don't have to.
- Play some music in the house that can be spooky or not.
- If it isn't obvious to you, try to use disposable cups and plates, and have trashcans handy to lessen the pickup.
- Make sure no one gets bored.
Warnings
- Don't let kids get too close to fire if you light candles for an eerie glow.
- If doing a walk through the woods, watch out for poison ivy, briars, and spiderwebs.
- Try not to get the dry-ice on the floor!
