Is your cat the type of cat you can't teach a trick to? Here's an easy trick that's sure to work with some practice.

Step 1

Make sure the cat is slightly hungry. Don't starve your cat, but a little hunger will motivate your cat to execute the trick.

Step 2

Hold the hoop up and for the first time it should touch the ground. Place the cat food on the other side of the hoop.

Step 3

Make sure your cat does not go around the hoop. If your cat goes through the hoop, reward him with the cat food and or kibbles or a pat on his head.

Step 4

Practice with your cat a few times one day and keep practicing until your cat gets the idea. It will take a couple days.

Step 5

Start to lift the hoop a little higher each day until it becomes a jumping trick.

Tips

  • Your cat can be any age, but if it's a kitten it's better.
  • It would work better if you had some cat food because of the aroma.
  • Don't stress yourself out or the cat, it will lead to having your cat not do what you say.
  • Always reward him.

Things You'll Need

  • hula hoop
  • cat food
  • kibble
  • a cat
