You want 20/20 vision. You want eye health. Here are some natural and either chemical ways of improve your eyesight. CAUTION: This article can be really sensitive. Before doing something out of the natural you should FIRSTLY ask an eye doctor.

Step 1

Eat more carrots, but only if you're short on vitamin A. Night blindness and other eye problems can be caused by a vitamin A deficiency. If you're not getting enough vitamin A, then eating more sources of it (like carrots) can help. But if you're already getting sufficient vitamin A in your diet, it won't make any difference. In fact, getting too much of a specific type of vitamin A (retinoids, found in liver, fish oils containing liver, and butter) can be toxic, and might even cause cancer.

  • Make sure you're getting enough zinc and iron, too.
  • Focus on eating carotenoids, which your body converts into vitamin A as needed: carrots, broccoli, sweet potato, and dark green leafy vegetables
  • Some sources of Vitamin A are:
  • liver (beef, pork, chicken, turkey, fish) (6500 µg 722%)
  • carrots (835 µg 93%)
  • Broccoli leaves (800 µg 89%) - Acc. to USDA database. Broccoli florets supposedly have much less - see note[10].
  • sweet potatoes (709 µg 79%)
  • kale (681 µg 76%)
  • butter (684 µg 76%)
  • spinach (469 µg 52%)
  • leafy vegetables
  • pumpkin (369 µg 41%)
  • collard greens (333 µg 37%)
  • cantaloupe melon (169 µg 19%)
  • eggs (140 µg 16%)
  • apricots (96 µg 11%)
  • papaya (55 µg 6%)
  • mango (38 µg 4%)
  • peas (38 µg 4%)
  • broccoli (31 µg 3%)
  • winter squash

Step 2

Play action video games. A scientific study published in 2007 showed that people who spent time playing action video games (e.g. Unreal Tournament) had better visual abilities (specifically, spatial resolution) than those who didn't. By spending a few hours a day over the course of months playing Unreal Tournament, people improved their ability to identify letters in clutter (a common ophthalmological test) by 20 percent. People who play non-action video games like Tetris do not realize these benefits.

Step 3

Spend more time outside if you're a kid. Research points to the possibility that children who spend more time outside (2-3 hours a day) have a lower likelihood of myopia (short-sightedness).

Step 4

Get laser eye surgery for more effective results. That costs over 2,000 per eye but the results last forever.

Step 5

Proper nutrition and eye exercises may help you.

Step 6

Get use of supplements such as Lutein, Bilberry, Eyebright (an herb), and Zeaxanthin. They are perfect for eyehealth.

Step 7

Visit the expert as often as you can.A check-up is always good and it can prevent you from potential allergies or eye sight problem.

Step 8

Take some combination of nutrients to help vision health in an effort to prevent your vision from getting worse.

Step 9

Make sure you have a well balanced diet with enough antioxidants (like vitamins A, C, and E among others).

Step 10

Avoid spending too much time in from of a computer screen or television. You may be enjoying it but your eyes don't.This is because your eye lens become more permanently adjusted to this focal length, which makes it more difficult to focus on objects far away.

Step 11

Do exercises. This might sound crazy, but it's true!

Step 12

Think about it! It's like any other muscles in your body, they all need exercise to stay in shape.Just when you get time (especially in the morning) sit down and do some exercise. Move your eyes from side to side, up and down, zig zag, circle, square, all for about 5 min. and you're done! Do it every day!

Step 13

Put a cotton dipped in water then sqeeezd n put 5 6 drops of rose water.

Step 14

Take 5 overnight dipped almonds (the peel taken off) with warm milk every morning.

Step 15

Use a software which named eyeguarder(google it).It has been proved to be effective for protecting the eye.so excellent.Experiments have proved that, with the combination of the Eye Exercise and eye sanitation, it is possible to control the amount of new cases of myopia, reinforce the circulation of blood around eyes, activate blood, improve the nutrition for nerve, decrease eye fatigue, protect eyesight and cure myopia.

Warnings

  • Eye exercises do not work. The premise that defects in vision are caused by tension in the muscles surrounding the eyeball has been largely dismissed by most optometrists and ophthalmologists.
  • Don't strain your eyes too often.
  • Vitamin A is good for the eyes but you must be extremely careful how much you give to yourself because it can be toxic if you give over the recommended daily amount.
