Every living entity has to die and be reborn; maybe in a worse condition than at present. Stop this eternal cycle of births and deaths for ever.
Step 1
The quest to stop the eternal cycle of births and deaths forever begins with an internal realization that one is weary of the earthly life spent chasing youth, beauty, wealth, status, and power, having done this in so many lifetimes and finding the earthly rewards to be fleeting, temporal, and shallow.
Step 2
Replace the chase for the earthly desires with a single longing to be one with God, as per His wish when the time comes naturally.
Step 3
Remember God all through the day, by uttering His or Her Names, whatever you wish to call Him or Her - Christ, Allah, Jehovah, Krishna, Devi, etc.
Step 4
See the hand of God in all that you see and do not see as often as possible during the day.
Step 5
Remember the law of fives.
Step 6
Give up all types of intoxication, excesses (even good food is bad in excess), and bad habits as these interfere with your subtle body and mind - your body is a living temple!
Step 7
Give up the need to control others, whether it is holding onto people, family or friends. This is not to be confused with relinquishing your obligations towards your dependants, e.g., young children, spouse, parents, etc. Each cycle in one's life has a purpose, and when one has dependants, their needs have to be met first. Renouncing them before God is a serious dereliction of duties.
Step 8
Live as simple a life as possible, reducing belongings and debts to the bare minimum needed. The Lord will be kind to send you everything you need for living, be sure of that.
Step 9
Give up ambition and ego, the two biggest obstacles in one's quest to stop the cycle of reincarnation. The less you want, the less draw earthly life has on you. As the desire to acquire evaporates, greed, jealousy, ego, the need for power all dissipate leaving the path and mind clear to focus on God and on renunciation.
Step 10
Never mind about your actual creed. There is so much quarrelling between "religions" that it does not make sense any more.
