If your home needs major help controlling animal dirt, here's where to look.
Step 1
Vacuum common areas everyday. Even 2 minutes of cleaning will make a difference. Hit the areas that are your pet's favorite the most.

Dust furniture with Pledge and Murphy's Oil Soap (can be bought at local grocery store) weekly. Use a Dusting wand for hard to reach places or a quick clean up. If you have hardwood floors use a Swiffer dusting broom to clean up.

Regularly brush/groom your pets (outside if possible) so that they are not shedding excess in your home.

Use an air filtration system. If you have forced air you can buy filters for the vents and furnace. A standing system is recommended for the best air quality (remember to clean this regularly as well).

Air out your home when possible to get rid of dusty odors.
Tips
- Rugs and fabrics (sofas, chairs, etc.) often trap the most dust and grime. Clean these areas often.
- Don't forget to clean under furniture and baseboard units.
- If you can get your pet professionally groomed every so often to get them to their best coat health.
- You may want to keep pets off furniture to avoid spreading hair and dust.
- Shampooing carpets can get deep-down dirt that isn't gotten with a vacuum.
- Invest in a good vacuum. The Dyson is good for homes with animals.
