Large eyes are attractive - and to achieve that easy beautiful look - read this article!

Step 1

Determine what color and what brand eyeliner you want. One option is Cover Girl self-sharpening eyeliner that comes with a smudger at the tip for a extra natural look. It won't melt down to your eyes but after a long period of hours, it will dissolve by itself! Black and dark brown are good choices although black can sometimes come out looking flacky.

Step 2

You should have 3 different kinds of eyeliner. One that is in a darker tone (black to brownish) And another one in lighter neutral colors (light silver, gold, pink, peach) And the third one should be white.

Step 3

Always cleanse your face and dry before doing makeup. You can put lotion or sunscreen on if you'd like although this adds a slippery step to this routine. Also let dry.

Step 4

Grab you white eyeliner and apply on your tear duct (that is the inner part of your eye). This makes your eyes seem brighter and more awake.

Step 5

Now use your light color eyeliner to draw thin strokes on your upper eyelid line. You should draw it on thick as it goes further to longer lashes and thinner to the inner part of your eye.

Step 6

With the dark color eyeliner, slick in on the bottom line of your eyes. Try doing thicker lines as it gets closer to the tear duct.

Step 7

For a natural smudgy look, smudge with tissue or smudger lightly brushing the eyeliner applied on. Leave the white tear duct though.

Tips

  • When you are applying eyeliner on your bottom part of your eyes, use one hand to grip the eyeliner and the other to adjust your eyes for easy application.
  • Wash and rinse your eyes before you go to bed. The easy way to that is splashing water on your eyes and wipe underneath the line under the eye with a dry tissue.
  • Do NOT use mascara or eyelash curler. If you don't have double eyelids (crease above your eye which makes eyes seem larger!, it will make your eyelid look crampy and small.
  • For extra double big eyes - try double eyelid clippers, double eyelid glue or tape! They can make or define already existing double eyelids.
  • If you use eyeshadow, stick to light colors. If you're daring, wear white shadow around your whole eye. It literally DOUBLES the size of your eyes. But be warned, it not carried out correctly, it looks tacky and cakey!

Warnings

  • Depending on the eyeliner you are using, it might give you different results. Some after time, will dribble down to your dark circles of your eyes making you look like a panda! If you cry, sweat, and have any contact with liquid, and the eyeliner is not waterproof - you WILL have panda eyes.
  • Don't try to apply eyeliner to deep into the bottom of your eyes - you may poke your eyes - and that is NOT comfortable.
  • You can try liquid liner but sometimes, it can look very unnatural and painted on. The brush stokes are hard to create. And whenever you do use liquid liner, use waterproof.

Things You'll Need

  • 3 Eyeliner (ones that sharpen by themselves by twisting the end - other wise, when you get a pencil eyeliner, it can leave you looking messy)
  • Bathroom and a mirror
  • Tissue
