The Irish Car Bomb is a beer drink. The idea of an Irish Car Bomb is obviously to get you drunk but you can also have a lot of fun with it. Always have a friend or two, or a bunch and start racing.
Ingredients
- 1/2 pint Guinness
- 1 oz Jameson Whiskey (OPTIONAL)
- 1/2 oz Bailey's Irish cream
Original Carbomb Recipe
1/2 Pint Guinness
1/2 oz. Baileys, 1/4 oz. Kahlua, Fill shot glass with Irish Whiskey
If you slide shot into Guinness( get you fingers wet) there will be very little if no curdling
Step 1
Pour either a pint of Guinness and drink half or only a half pint.
Step 2
Pour an ounce of Jameson Irish Whiskey in a 1 1/2 oz shot glass.(OPTIONAL-Tastes just as good without it)
Step 3
Pour a half ounce of Bailey's Irish Cream on top of the whiskey. Don't worry about trying to "float" the Baileys. Baileys will settle to the bottom regardless. If you do want to layer the shot, reverse steps 2 and 3
Step 4
Pinch the shot glass with your forefinger and thumb. By, placing your forefinger pointing down in the shot glass, and grasping the rim.
Step 5
Slide the shot glass down the inside wall of the pint glass until the top edge is barely above the surface of the Guinness.
Step 6
Make a toast with friends.
Step 7
Release the shot and drink until empty.
Tips
- It's considered impolite to turn down the glass before it is empty.
- Do not worry about curdling. Baileys curdles as soon as it touches any carbonated liquid.
Warnings
- Remember to pace yourself when drinking. Drinking several Irish Car Bombs in one sitting will get you intoxicated fairly quickly.
- You must drink this fast. If it sits the Irish cream will start to curdle, and no one wants that.
