Ever had one of those times when you can't find anything to do with your hair? Well, I have and having a short (like short, short) hairstyle can't help. Follow these steps to find a cute and new hairstyle that will suit you well.

Step 1

First find out what shape of face you have - Oval, Square, Heart, Round, Diamond. (If you really don't know, take a well educated guess)

Step 2

See what color of hair looks best on you, whether natural or dyed.

Step 3

Find out why type of hair you have: Thick, Curly, Thin, Straight, etc. #If you have thin and straight hair, great but if you have thick and curly hair, get it layered a bit so you don't have an ugly afro and if you have thick and strait hair get it straightened.

Step 4

Determine your face shape. Different face shapes require different hair styles. Refer to the list below to find your best look according to your face shape.

  • Oval - An oval shaped face is almost exactly like a round one, only thinner. A cute hairstyle for this shape of face is shaggy short hair and bangs swept away to the side. Very cute yet sexy.
  • Square - A square shaped face is more muscular than most, almost manly because of the chin. If you want a more girlish look, try getting a short pixie cut and try making it a bit thicker if you have thin hair.
  • Heart - A heart shaped face usually has nice cheek bones and most people want to emphasize it. To do that, try spiking your hair a bit in the back and growing out long bangs; it will really frame your face.
  • Round - A round shaped face can be cute and child-like, almost angelic. To make the innocence stand out (along with cuteness and pretty) you should try a shaggier hairstyle with messy bangs.
  • Diamond - A diamond shaped face can be cute or not, either way it looks nice. A hairstyle to really bring out the cuteness of your face is to spike it in little spikes, it will look cute.

Tips

  • Wash your hair daily and use less conditioner and shampoo than you usually would with longer hair
  • If you hate your hair color, dye it with a color complimenting your skin such as brown hair and tan skin, blonde hair with pale skin, and black hair with darker skin
  • Get a trim every two months or so just to keep your hair neat and tidy
  • If you have bangs, wash your face every day because oil from your hair can clog your pores.
  • When spiking hair, try to get cute, little spikes but if you want mohawk-ish spikes, be my guest.

Warnings

  • Do not use a ton of hair products - it will make your hair look and feel greasy and that's just gross.
  • Don't use a permanent dye the first time dying your hair - you may hate the color and it could turn out wrong
  • Using an outrageous color for dye will most likely get you unwanted attention
  • Barrettes and clips can be cute but don't use too many because it will look ridiculous.

Things You'll Need

  • Clips; Barrettes
  • Deep cleaning shampoo and conditioner
  • Mousse
  • Hair gel (optional)
  • Hair dye (optional)
  • A smile
