We've all made a duct tape wallet, right. Well here's the real challenge. That's right, a duct tape shower curtain! Will you make it, or will you give up in despair?

Step 1

Get lots of duct tape (you'll need it).

Step 2

Rip off a 9" long strip of duct tape.

Step 3

Place the strip on the work surface sticky-side up.

Step 4

Rip off another 9" strip of duct tape.

Step 5

Place your new strip halfway across your previous strip, sticky-side down.

Step 6

Fold the sticky part that you can still see over onto the second strip.

Step 7

Flip your sheet over.

Step 8

Repeat steps 2 and 3.

Step 9

Repeat step 5.

Step 10

Flip your sheet over again.

Step 11

Repeat steps 8, 9, and 10 until you have a sheet 8" long on the non-sticky section.

Step 12

Repeat step 6.

Step 13

Measure your sheet, drawing straight lines down the side so as to mark off 8" across.

Step 14

Cut along your lines. You will now have an 8x8" sheet.

Step 15

Repeat steps 2-14 80 more times.

Step 16

Lay out all your 8x8" sheets in a 9x9 pattern on the floor. (They probably won't fit anywhere else...)

Step 17

Duct tape them together along the gaps.

Step 18

Duct tape the edges.

Step 19

Reinforce the top edge with (what else!) more duct tape.

Step 20

Cut circular holes in the top edge for the rings to pass through. (A leather punch would work well.)

Step 21

Hang up your your new shower curtain, and enjoy the astonished looks of your friends who cannot believe you actually made that.

Tips

  • Be good at Ductagami.
  • A safe place to store your finished sheets is a good idea, so that they don't get lost. (And your sanity with them :))

Warnings

  • While all the duct tape you will need is probably going to be expensive, remember--stealing is against the law, and you will be caught.
  • Tape can remove outer layers of skin, leaving your hands slightly tender if the tape is very sticky, or if you work for extended periods of time.
  • Scissors (or knives) are sharp. You can cut yourself.

Things You'll Need

  • Duct tape--a lot of it
  • Shower curtain rings
  • Leather Punch (optional)
  • Sharp scissors (or knife, but scissors are easier)
  • Pen (or marker)
  • Ruler
  • A shower to hang it in
  • Time
