If you have already found a ghost, and feel compelled to help them pass on, read on to find out how to do so.

Step 1

Observe the ghost and make notes about what they look like, and what they do. Some questions to consider:

  • Can you determine the gender? Age? Do they dress from a certain era?
  • Does the ghost pace a hallway continuously? Knock down a certain object? Appear in only one specific spot?

Step 2

Research the history of the location the ghost appears in. Ghosts usually appear after a violent or highly emotional event, such as a murder or suicide.

Step 3

Contact the ghost and let them know you wish to help them. Tell them what you have learned, and what you can do to help. Stress that you are there to help them.

Step 4

Ask them why they are still on earth, why they don't want to leave, or why they cannot leave. You may wish to record this to see if the ghost gives you a reply.

Step 5

Do any tasks that the ghost requests, or that you think will help them.

Step 6

Watch for any change in the ghost's behaviour (or a complete disappearance) that may indicate your actions are having an effect.

Tips

  • Do not be afraid to contact a professional if you feel the ghost requires this expert advice.
  • It would be useful to have a psychic medium on hand in case you lose control of the situation.

Warnings

  • Respect the ghost at all times. Never insult a ghost.
  • Consider that the ghost may be unfriendly, or may not want help. Some ghosts appear to help others rather than the other way round.
