This is how to have an amazing pool party filled with games, foods, decorations, etc.
Step 1 Start with unique and personal invitations.
Step 2 Choose your music carefully
If you have a theme, be sure your music is appropriate. Think ukulele for a Hawaiian luau, or perhaps dance or R&B music for a celebrity theme.
Step 3 Get good party food, like hot dogs and burgers
To make hot dogs you don't have to have a huge grill, you just can have a small table top grill. If it's someone's birthday, you might want to have a cake as well. Be considerate if some of your friends are vegetarian/vegan though, be sure to provide at least a couple things they can eat.
Step 4 Include fun decorations
Try banners, balloons, or streamers...just don't let them get wet. Again, if you have a theme, stick to it.
Step 5 Get games
Depending on the age, you should play certain games like if you are 12 and up you could play games like Chicken Fight, Balloon Pop, Pinata, Kiss Chase(in the pool), beach volleyball. But if you are younger you should try games like Marco Polo, Stuck in the mud, Tag etc.
Step 6 Have your guests dress to a theme
A fun idea is black/white bathing suits with sunglasses for a rich and famous celebrity theme.
Tips
- Some parents don't want their kids drinking soda, so you could have lemonade.
- If you don't have a pool in your backyard, you could rent out the local pool.
Warnings
- Kids that can't swim should stay in the shallow end.
- Kids should stay away from candles or fire.
- If you get a table grill, don't put it on a wood table or plastic because it could burn.
- Always make sure there is a responsible life guard on the watch - accidents can ruin a party and end someones life.
