This article will show you how to get a "fohawk".

Step 1

Set aside about 5 minutes (10, if this is your first time) to get your hair into the right style.

Step 2

Get some hairgel and hairspray. Try "Bedhead Manipulator" and "Aussie Hairspray", which are both cheap, and easy to use.

Step 3

Cover your entire hands with the hair gel.

Step 4

Pinch your hair between your hands and pull up from your head into the mohawk shape you wish to achieve - how many spikes (if any), how large, etc., is at your own discretion.

Step 5

As soon as you have finished the above step, repeat to make sure it keeps it's shape.

Step 6

Now, take your hairspray and spray a liberal amount all over your Fohawk - again, to make sure it stays in place.

Step 7

Take a hairdryer and use until your Fohawk is completely dry.

Step 8

Know that some people will frown upon this hairstyle (e.g. teachers, parents), but it's your choice - wear it proud!

Tips

  • You don't need to wash your hair first before you do this (though if you do, it will work just the same.)
  • Set up at least two mirrors so that you are able to see the back of your head, and check that everything looks okay. If you cannot do this, have a friend check and tell you if it's looking alright.
  • Wash your hair before going to sleep
  • Don't use a comb, as this will completely ruin the shape

Warnings

  • If you do not dry your Fohawk with a hairdryer, it will sag. In this shape it will harden, and make you look as if you have been standing on your head.
  • Some people will criticize your hair choice. Live with it.

Things You'll Need

  • Hairdryer
  • At least 2 mirrors (or a friend)
  • Hairspray
  • Hair gel (or wax, etc.)
  • The Fohawk 'tude
