Do you want to be a 'Pokemon Master'? Do you want a complete Pokedex in Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum? Well, this guide will tell you how to get one, without using a cheap-o action replay.

Step 1

Read the 'What you need' section and make sure you have everything on the list.

Step 2

Starting with Kanto, boot up either FireRed or LeafGreen. Beat the game and complete the Kanto Pokedex. Use the opposite version to fill in the missing Pokemon.

Step 3

Going on to Johto, boot up your Pokemon Colosseum, and beat the storymode. Purify all the Pokemon. Then beat mount battle and get Ho-Oh. Then use your GC/GBA cable to trade them to your FR/LG.

Step 4

Get Pokemon XD and catch and Purify all 83 shadow pokemon, including Lugia! Transfer them to your FR/LG.

Step 5

Now for Hoenn, get your Sapphire or Ruby. Beat the game and complete the Hoenn Pokedex. Use the opposite version to fill in the missing Pokemon.

Step 6

Put all of your Pokemon onto 1 GBA version.

Step 7

Get either Diamond, Pearl or Platinum and beat the game. Complete the Sinnoh Pokedex. Use the opposite version(s) to fill in the missing Pokemon.

Step 8

Go to the Pal Park and start the long process of migrating all of the Pokemon to your game....

Step 9

Now you should have a mostly filled Pokedex. Fill in any missing Pokemon by breeding ones you should have. (Such as the Johto starters, which you should have from Colosseum)

Step 10

Use the Colosseum bonus disc to take Jirachi to your Ruby or Sapphire. Migrate it to D/P/Pt.

Step 11

Now you will need to trade globally for these remaining Pokemon. All of them have become legitimately available at one point in time, except Arceus. These Pokemon are: Arceus, Shaymin, Darkrai, Manaphy (and Phione), Mew, Celebi, and Deoxys.

Step 12

Show off your fully completed Pokedex to all your friends!

Tips

  • If you want Arceus to be in your Pokedex, you'll have to either use an Action Replay, or wait for the Platinum Arceus event.
  • You can get a Phione by breeding a Manaphy with a Ditto.

Warnings

  • No real warnings, but you will need alot of stuff and it will take alot of time. If you are not dedicated, don't attempt doing this.
