Welcome! Read this article for a few tips on what to do before you paint your finger-nails for that sharp polished look!
Step 1
Wash hands.

Remove all finger-nail polish.

Clean all nail tools if you haven't done so already.

Push back cuticles.

Clip cuticles until nice and smooth. (Be careful not to cut yourself!).
Step 6
Trim finger-nails to where you have a nice smooth top.
Step 7
File nails with a file, be careful not to damage your nails.
Step 8
Wash your hands again to remove cuticle clippings and polish remover.
Step 9
Apply a clear base coat or strengthening coat or repairing coat to nails.
Step 10
Pick out a color and begin painting.
Step 11
Start from the bottom and make your way to the top.
Step 12
Apply 2-3 coats of polish for a long lasting wear.
Step 13
If you have gotten paint outside of your finger-nails, don't panic.
Step 14
Grab some cotton swabs and dab them in water, then gently remove your mistakes.

Apply shining coat to the top of your nails once they have completely dried.
Step 16
Let your nails dry after applying the top shining coat.

Your nails should be looking their very best now! So go out there and shine girl!
Tips
- If you have very weak nails, try using a clear nail hardening top coat, instead of a regular clear polish.
- Be patient, and they should come out looking excellent!
- Remember, practice makes perfect.

Warnings
- Be careful when trimming cuticles and nails. Cutting cuticles too deep can cause infection if your tools are not properly cleaned.
