Sims are people too and they get lonely and need someone to be with. This article will help your Sim find a mate to spend loads of time with and be happy.
Step 1 You will need to find a suitable sim
Choose one of the starting off methods. Try the first one if you own Sims 2 Nightlife or the second if you do not.
Method 1:Starting off in Sims 2 Nightlife
- Call the matchmaker and ask for a blind date. Please note that your sim will have to pay simoleans to the matchmaker. The matchmaker will give you a more compatible date with your sim if you pay more simoleans than less. You can pay up to 5,000 simoleans, so if you have a rich sim looking for love your best bet would be to pay to the max.
- A date will appear soon. You will see a date meter at the side of your screen. Pay attention to this to improve your relationship with your date.
Method 2:Starting off in Sims 2(without Nightlife
Installed)
- If you have just moved your sim in, then wait a while and a dialog will appear on the side that says that a welcoming party has arrived. You can pick from one of the sims, and if you are happy, continue to the Improving Relationships section below.
- If you do not find a sim that you like, buy a phone and call for services. To get people to come over and try out for your sim, you could try ordering pizza, and after the pizza is delivered you could make your sim talk to the pizza delivering sim, as they interact just as a normal sim does.
- You can also try for other services if you are still not satisfied.
Improving Relationships
- Whether you are on a date or not, talk to the person, watch how they react. Do they make faces and cross their arms, or do they clap their hands and smile? If they don't get along conversation wise, find someone else.
- Invite the Sim over often, or chat on the phone. Have plenty of things available to your guest. Things like food, comfort, clean bathroom, things to do, etc
- Make the other Sim feel special. Flirt, appreciate, hug, and kiss. Beware though, some Sims take longer than others to accept hugs and kisses.
- If you have When you talk to your Sims, the menus might have lightning bolts will appear and if you push those menus, it will make your relationship meter go up.
- When the Sims have a good relationship, propose to the other Sim to move in. This will bring them even closer to each other.
- Propose, or just be friends, your choice.
- Most of the time if you're in free play, the relationship will start at 20 and if so you will need to be nice and friendly and try not to come on too strong. If you decide to come on too strong, at the top of the screen there will be a note that says "how many times do I have to reject you before you take the hint."
- When things start going smoother, you will see things that read smooch,and serenade.
- Finally, your bond should be very strong and you should be able to propose. If they reject you,your relationship meter will go down but keep on trying.
- If You really mess things up, like cheating, or if you have been rejected for engagement or Marriage, like the one above, keep trying to get them to have a strong relationship. But if that doesn't work out to well, you might have to start back at number 1.
- If your sim has proposed and the other one accepted, you now have a mate!!
All that's left is to get married, and then you decide what will happen for your sims.
Or Try This
- Create A New Sim, Appearance doesn't matter (just try to match the Turn-Ons of the Sim you need a mate for and not the Turn-Offs).
- Make Him/Her have Turn-Ons and Offs that match your Sim you need a mate for. Choose a zodiac that is compatible with the mate's (check snootysims.com for compatible zodiacs)
- Choose the SAME aspiration as the one you need a mate for.
- Move him/her into the other person's house. Have them talk and tell jokes for a while. When they are friends, have them flirt appreciate and kiss.
- Eventually you can get them married or just have a little premarital WOOHOO.
- You can also change your Sims Turn-Ons to the different one than make them be your slave.
Tips
- There is benefits in bringing someone into the family, income is a big one. Bringing in other family members in an option, bring kids in the family to
- Don't try to rush things fast with the Sims, but do speed up the process.
- Click "Ask". "Then do you like what you see?" Then, if they do, they will say in their speech bubble what they like about you. It also helps to ask what their turn on's and turn off's are.
Warnings
- Flirting can ruin friendships between Sims.
- Be carefull not to let your Sims flirt with anyone else because it is hard to get a relationship back.
