For those of you who know what it is like to struggle with getting double eyelids, this is a guide to help you create a chance for a "natural" double eyelid. It will take patience and time to develop them. Not to mention, "No pain no gain". WARNING. TRY THIS ARTICLE AT YOUR OWN RISK. NEVER USE ACID ANYWHERE ON YOUR BODY UNLESS DIRECTED BY A PHYSICIAN. ANY ACID, NO MATTER HOW STRONG, CAN BE HARMFUL AND CAUSE PERMANENT AFFECTS, INCLUDING BLINDNESS AND SCARRING.

Step 1

Buy a good quality double-eyelid glue from your local drug store or online such as eBay.com. The most popular used eyelid glue is Koji's "Eyetalk". If you don't know how to apply double eyelid glue you can google "Koji double eyelid video" for assistance.

Step 2

Buy a good quality double-eyelid tape. (Medical grade is preferable). A good eyelid tape is Eye Charm double eyelid tape. You would want really strong tape.

Step 3

Buy a very strong acid for skin. A very strong acid for skin is glycolic acid, lactic acid, AHA, or Kojic Acid. Whatever acid it is, find one that has medical strength. Usually, sellers would label them 5%, 8%, or 10%. Find one that is a basis of a chemical peel.

Step 4

Determine where you want to create your double eyelid. Different eyes will give different results. You will want to stick to where your line is going to be.

Step 5

Use double-eyelid tape during night when you are at home, going to bed, during your free time. This will help maintain a shape and move the fat cells within the eyelid.

Step 6

Apply double-eyelid glue going out. Use makeup to hide the glue if wanted. Or, if it looks natural, use no makeup.

Step 7

After continuing the double eyelid tape/glue method over time the skin will get usually irritated–this is where the saying "no pain no gain" comes in.

Step 8

Usually after a day of using the eyelid glue the eye area will turn red. Put eyelid tape to make the crease.

Step 9

Hop in the shower with the tape on. With the acid for skin apply on top of the eyelid with the tape on. A stinging sensation will really redden and make an abrasion above the taped eyelid.

Step 10

Repeat steps 5-9 to make a keloid-like but effective double eyelid.

Tips

  •  Here is a figure to help understand the single eyelid; If you really understand the methods above–these figures will help.
  • Another method for a chance for double eyelids-
  • Remember that you must really, really, really want to have double eyelids. It will take persistence and hard work. Also, you can create different ways to make the eyelid to suit your needs.
  • If the eye gets really irritated and painful, you can put Neosporin or a calming cream to lessen the pain and redness.
  • Please give the eye a chance to heal before doing the methods again.
  • The hardened skin will not be so hard and scar-like that people will be in shock. It will be almost unnoticeable except for the occasional redness. Just use makeup to cover it.
  • Over time, you can feel the hardened skin.
  • If eyes get too puffy take it a rest for one day. Sleep without tape on, but in the morning put the tape back on.
  • Place the tape at a slightly downward angle on your eye for a cat-like double eyelid. Place the tape at a slightly upward angle for soulful looking eyelids.

Warnings

  • Sometimes eyes can get red and puffy.
  • If acid gets into your eye, wash it with water right away.
  • If you have really sensitive skin, take a second thought.
  • This method has a 70% chance of working–the author is trying it herself!
