German is a fun language to learn, here's how to count 1-10 with their pronunciations.

Step 1

One- eins (ints [long -i sound])

Step 2

Two- zwei (tsvy)

Step 3

Three- drei (dry)

Step 4

Four- vier (feer)

Step 5

Five- fünf (foonf)

Step 6

Six- sechs (zecks)

Step 7

Seven-sieben (zeeben)

Step 8

Eight- acht (ahkt)

Step 9

Nine- neun (Noyn)

Step 10

Ten- zehn (Tsayn)

Step 11

German numbers are not capitalized, unless you turn them into a noun, as in "The three ...", or "Die Drei ..."

Step 12

If you are serious about knowing how to count farther in German, consider a German tutor or teaching software.

Tips

  • Try to memorize it by memorizing the first five, and then the last five.
