This is a guide to configure Windows Mobile 6 Standard devices to connect and synchronize with an Exchange Server. The guide assumes that the user has basic knowledge of using Windows Mobile 6 and has obtained the proper Exchange Server information (see the 'Things You'll Need' section for details). Screen shots are integrated into the instructions for each screen that is displayed during the process. The screen shots are posted after the required steps on that particular screen.
Step 1
Power on the Windows Mobile 6 device and wait for Windows Mobile to load.

Once at the Home Screen, press the 'Start' softkey.

Locate 'Messaging' in the menu and open it.

Navigate down to 'New E-mail Account...' and open it.

Enter your Exchange-based E-mail address in the prompt.

For this guide, uncheck 'Try to get e-mail settings automatically from the Internet'.

Press the 'Next' softkey.

In the 'Your e-mail provider' option box, scroll right until ‘Exchange Server’ is present.

Press the 'Next' softkey.

Confirm the selection to use 'Outlook with Exchange' by pressing the 'Next' softkey.

In the 'Server address' prompt, enter the address for your Exchange Server.

If your server uses SSL, check the ‘The server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection’ box.

Press the ‘Next’ softkey.

Enter the user information (username, password, and domain).

Select the data you would like to synchronize with the Exchange Server (Contacts, Calendar, E-mail, Tasks).

Wait during synchronization to your server(this may take a few minutes).

Once synchronization is complete, your Inbox is displayed. All of the data selected in Step 16 is now synchronized to your Windows Mobile 6 device. If the process was unsuccessful, contact your administrator and try again later.
