Often even before you move into your new home, sheet rock dust and other particles get embedded into the non skid strip in the bathtub, how do you really get it clean?

Step 1

Wet the bottom of the tub and first try Ajax or Comet powder cleaner.

Step 2

Sprinkle the cleaner lightly over the bottom, and scrub in a circular motion.

Step 3

Rinse tub well. If this did not clean it you have to go to a more expensive cleaner "Sure Klean Light Duty Concrete Cleaner". The smallest size you can get is a gallon. Check with a local brick & block company.

Step 4

Fill the tub with about 4 inches hot water, add 1 cup Sure Klean Light Duty Concrete Cleaner.

Step 5

Put on rubber gloves and mix the cleaner in the water. Leave to soak about 1 hour.

Step 6

Drain the tub and rinse well. If this doesn’t clean it go to next step.

Step 7

Add one teaspoon of Sure Klean Light Duty Concrete Cleaner to 1 cup of warm water.

Step 8

Using a scrub brush & rubber gloves dip the brush into the mixture, and again work in circular motion clean the strip.

Step 9

Rinse well & enjoy.

Warnings

  • Do not add Sure Klean first, (Water first) as it can take the finish off your tub if not diluted down.
  • Wear rubber gloves and safety glasses when using Sure Klean Light Duty Concrete Cleaner.
  • Always provide good ventilation when using Sure Klean Light Duty Concrete Cleaner.
