It can be tough trying to celebrate Ramadan in the West. Life is lonely and stressful. Make your Ramadan more lively this year.

Step 1 Go to the mosque

Even though it might be far away, you should go anyways. You might make some friends. Also, food is served to break your fast, and the mosque also provides dinner and dessert. You won't have to worry about cooking for a whole month!

Step 2 Pray

This four letter word can mean a lot sometimes. It helps you gain virtue. It's also benificial when Allah answers prayers that come honestly from your heart. Remember that an open heart leads to an open mind, especially if Allah is remembered in your heart and mind. Read the Qur'an with the translation. It's really heart-warming and it motivates you to do righteous deeds.

Step 3 Learn a new recipe

After a whole day of fasting, your family's going to be expecting something good. The same goes for the heavy breakfast before Fajr time. Your family will feel satisfied, and Allah will shower you with blessings for making them happy with good intentions.

Step 4 Refrain from doing bad deeds

All your hard work will go to waste by keeping the bad behavior persistent.

Step 5 Read some hadiths about Ramadan

You'll learn what it's purpose is(the Qur'an gives detail too). You'll also run over some wisdom while you're reading.

Step 6 Give zakaat

It'll make you feel good! Also, it's an obligation. Remember that once you give charity, you can't take it back. That's why you should have good intentions before you do anything good.

Tips

  • Ask Allah for forgiveness open-heartedly when you commit a wrong deed.
  • Ramadan is one of the holiest months in an Islamic year. Take advantage of this blessed time to pray for forgiveness. There's a bigger chance that you'll be forgiven.
  • Prayer is the key to Paradise.

Warnings

  • Avoid bad deeds!
