This article helps you catch Rayquaza in Pokemon Emerald.

Step 1

Get a Pokemon above level 70 with the ability Sing, like Swellow.

Step 2

Fly to Pacifilog Town.

Step 3

Surf to the sky pillar, and you MUST have a Mach Bike, you'll see why. Get to the top floor.

Step 4

Save the game .This is extremely important, just in case you can't catch it the first time. Take as many Ultra Balls as you can.

Step 5

Get Rayquaza down to low yellow or red. Then use Sing to put it to sleep. Keep trying, and eventually you'll catch it.

Step 6

If you white out, turn the game off since you saved it and then fight it again.

Tips

  • You must have a Mach Bike because you can't get to Rayquaza without it.
  • Before battling it, there's a way you can make it into a Black Rayquaza.
  • A lot of evolved-formed Pokemon and ghosts are found in the sky pillar, like Claydol and Baynette.
  • When you throw an ultra ball (or any other ball) at Rayquaza (or any other pokemon) press A rapidly until the pokeball darkens.
  • You can also clone a masterball and use that.
  • When you are on th second level prepare to turn fast.
  • get action replay helps alot

Warnings

  • Keep in mind that all three Pokemon of the land, sea, and air have a level of 70.
  • Rayquaza has extremely good moves; Outrage, Fly, Extremespeed and Rest (All of the Emerald legend trio have rest.) Make sure you're ready.

Things You'll Need

  • About 50 Ultra Balls or one master ball
  • AT LEAST a level 78 pokemon that knows sing.
  • Around 25 Full Restores or 20 hyper potions (it may depend what level your pokemon are)
  • 20 Timer Balls
