Women aren't the only people who care about how they look. Guys: good skin is a direct result of three things: your diet, the genetic lottery, and personal hygiene. You can affect two of those three!
Step 1
Eat leafy greens, and take vitamins. Enough said here: Vitamin C, B, A, D, and K are all necessary for maintaining healthy skin and hair.
Step 2
Wash your face. Use a hypo-allergenic, oil-free face-wash. However, watch the labels - alcohol dries out your skin, prompting the production of even more oils!
Step 3
Exercise. Nothing gives you the same type of effect as a steam bath like a long hot shower, or working out and building up a sweat. Tip: work out, then shower, paying special attention to wash your face with a face-wash.
Step 4
Do not rub your skin raw. Refrain from poking, prodding, popping, or overly-scrubbing your face. This irritates the skin, causes redness, pain, and acne, and drives dirt and grime further into your face. Rubbing the skin off your cheeks or forehead is also incredibly painful. Don't try it.
Step 5
Use spot-treaters. Got a nasty zit? Use a salicylic-acid spot-treater. They are available in little tubes in most supermarkets. Apply only to the acne in mention, not your entire face.
Step 6
Be confident in yourself. Even if you're having a bad skin day, don't worry. While some may be more shallow than others, skin isn't the only thing a potential mate looks at. Plenty of people have dated men with acne, kissed men with acne, did not bat an eye about their acne. If you make an effort to control it, it's just your body acting up, and your personality outshines your skin, you'll be fine.
