Learn how to beat a friend in Halo easily.
Step 1
Get the sniper rifle on top of each building. Do it as quickly as possible.
Step 2
Make sure you strafe while sniping or being sniped. Standing still or walking in a straight line makes you an easy target to a player with any level of skill.
Step 3
You can also try using the nearest scorpion tank. They are extremely powerful.
Step 4
A banshee is not recommended if your opponent has a tank, as unless you are an exceptional flyer you will be an easy target.
Step 5
Use the scorpion tank to crush or shoot your friend dead. Don't stop firing the machine gun because it has unlimited ammo. Aim carefully at your enemy and fire the main gun. It should kill in one shot.
Step 6
In a tank your body is exposed in the front. If you only it's back to the enemy you are no longer a sniper target and can kill them easily.
Step 7
If your enemy is also in a scorpion tank, a hit anywhere with a tank round will kill him.
Step 8
If your shields drop, retreat. Use the hilly terrain to your advantage.
Step 9
Use the health packs on top of each base.
Tips
- If you are playing with unlimited grenades, the enemy will have a huge advantage. Plasma grenades are extremely useful against the scorpion tank.
- Never use the ghost to charge head-on with the tank. It is fatal, unless you strafe around the tank in a circle. The tank can not touch you then.
- The warthog is nearly useless unless you have another friend on your team.
- An easy way to rack up cheap kill points is to drive the warthog in a circle around the enemy's base. Aim for people as they spawn, one hit with a moving warthog will instantly kill a player. This is especially useful for games such as Capture The Flag where players always spawn at their own base.
- Learn to use the pistol, it is extremely good at medium range, and is decent at close and far ranges. It is really useful if you learn to head shot enemies really well as you can kill them in 3 shots.
- Mix up your tactics. It is extremely useful to be very aggresive but quickly dissapear and stalk your enemy. An added effect to this is you can spook your enemy.
- The pistol is arguably the best weapon. The reason for this is the unique zoom feature making this weapon good for long range and short range.
- Use a plasma pistol on full charge to take down your opponent's shield then use a more powerful weapon or melee attack to finish them off.
- If your enemy gets is in a tank avoid him until you get behind him and hit him with plasma grenades. When you run out quickly retreat or you may feel the power of his main gun. Sniping a tank is relatively easy if they don't shoot you first. A pistol can kill a tank in about 3 seconds, which is enough time for them to get 1 shot off but if they miss they're dead.
- Learn to shoot while moving never stop or you can be easily sniped by players of all skill levels. You need to develop this skill so that you can move while your enemy may run in one direction. This makes you unpredictable.
- The best weaponary would be pistol and sniper rifle. Don't forget common sense (that warthog may be a little tricker to dodge than you think). The pistol is much more accurate if you press the trigger quickly rather than hold it down.
- If you get on top of your opponents base with a shotgun you can often get many kills right as they spawn before they kill you.
Warnings
- If your enemy gets their hands on a rocket launcher just keep your distance and use your pistol.
- Never put the game on pause and leave the room alone. Bring your friend with you. They might unlatch your controller, unpause the game, use all your ammo, etc.
- Dont play for too long. Halo is addicting, but make sure to take breaks to let your eyes get some rest once in a while.
- If you are prone to seizures, consult your physician before playing video games.
