Dermatoglyphics is the study of skin ridges, and particularly fingerprints. Your fingerprints form while you are still in the womb, and do not change during your life. Since they are fixed, they can be used to diagnosis some genetic disorders, and are also used in advanced palm reading.

Step 1  

Indentify the main pattern on each fingerprint. The patterns are arch, whorl, loop, tented arch.

Step 2  

Determine which pattern is dominant (on the most fingers). The characteristics for the dominant pattern will be more dominant in the subject's personality.

Step 3  

Learn the main characteristics of each pattern:  

  • Arch - practical, dislike change, trouble expressing emotions, traditional values
  • Whorl - like to be in charge, deep thinker
  • Loop - flexibility, dislike routine, emotional, follower
  • Tented arch - sensitive, impulsive nature, perfectist
