Sometimes your pattern will ask you to purl in the back of a stitch. This tends to twist the stitch and make it tighter. It's easy, and here's what you do.
- Instead of putting your right needle through the front of the purl stitch, you simply put it through the back.
- Wrap the yarn around the needle and pull it out.
- You have purled through the back.
