cool, i'm making one now.

I made my first one into a hat for my mum. The process seems daunting, but once you get past the first 100 triangles, time flies!

good luck, mate!

My triangles come apart when adding more pieces what do I need to do ?

ITS REALLY AMAZING. I'VE SEEN A LOT OF THEM IN DIFFERENT SHAPES AND I REALLY WONDER HOW IT WAS MADE. THANKS, ITS ONLY IN THIS SITE I GONNA LEARN LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS.....I LOVE DOING CRAFTS, EVERYTHING FROM PAPER TO NEEDLE... MORE POWER TO YOU AND TO THOSE GOD HAVE GIVEN A TALENT...GOD BLESS....MARIZ

The only fault I can find is making the triangles against a white background. It would be perfect against a darker background.

I wanna try! But, it might take me a few weeks or days... cause I'll be busy with homework! (other than homework... I'll be too lazy Lol.) xD

how big is it when the swan is done??

My copy measures about 10 cm in height and 10 cm in diameter.

how many pieces of paper do you cut up in the end?

um, sorry this is a late comment, but (if at all possible) can you pet a few more closeups on, cuz i don't get how the triangles are arranged...

It was amazing. I made one and gifted it to someone on Valentine. She just loved it. Thank you for this lovely peice of work.

This is awesome. I haven't made it yet, but it is on my to do list. Thanks for the upload.

WOW! HELL THIS IS AWESOME! I AM SOOOO GONNA MAKE ONE. WHEN I FIND THE TIME (almost never)

I have started my one now
But i think im gonna run outta paper :)

I cant wait to try this , I do wish it were on a dark background so you can see how the first step is done better , But i don't mean that as a complaint , Thanks so much for posting this ,,

Amazing! But i think it takes some time, doesn't it?

Just finished mine a couple of minutes ago. I made mine at 1/8th of a regular printer paper so it's larger than this one.
Measures about 20 cm high and 10cm wide.

A problem I ran into was that it lost the roundness in the process of attaching new triangles, but this was fixed by just pressing everything a bit harder and adding some supporting triangles which made it blend a lot better. It also made it a bit more compact.

Overall I folded triangles for about 3 days (5 hours a day) while watching tv and chatting on msn. The actuall assembly took about 2 hours since I had some mishaps.

I hope this information helps. :)

this looks awesome but it is #$%@ing complicated to see hou you have to put in the triangles

oke it wasn`t that hard after all only lots of work

well, i need paper! I'm soooo gonna try this!

hey man iv already made one from this vid. really well done btw but i have a question. do u know how to make the dragon one? cos iv been searching the web for one but cant find one and i noticed from the pictures of it that there made from the same little triangles, if you know how to make them please e-mail me with the info at broonyfraescotland@hotmail.com thanx

HA! i just made it. i made the triangles as i made the swan. its so cute! id prob only do it once cuz it took me a while (2days, 5hrs a day) this thing only took about 20 sheets of paper, and i made it just the way the video said to. I LOVE THIS. its great pasttime for when you're bored. im usually very distracted by things but for some reason i was totally focused on finishing this! LOVE IT. xoxo

Amazing, but terribly time consuming.

i made 1000 triangels with 4 friends o.o made a swan and a swan like thingy o.o the head was like grabag...T.T but the other swan was better =] so we got lquide nitetrogen and dip it in =) it was solid and could'ent get a piece out but my friends droped it... so all effort wasted.... so we took the lame swawn and droped it from a 8 story building in lquide nitrogen =p and it wents *crashhssss* dats was not wasting effort =p

I'm Making One Now, It's Really Amazing!

Greetings! I have made this Swan from last years Calendar & have used white adhesive viz Fevicol MR diluted in water to stick the triangles. The method shown in video is very easy, to make this swan I used my train-travelling time & within an hour I could assemble the swan seen inth facefprofile. Hope you all would like this. I encouraged cotravellers and office colleagues who have also learnt this craft. Thanks a million for being there, With Prayers and Love

#$%@ing awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love origami but the chinise style with some many similar moduls is a little boring to me

it whould be quite expensive because it takes a lot of time to make, or do you want 70$+shipping on it?

how do i start the video?

I am going to do this with Full Size A4 Paper. Wish me luck!

it's often call 3D Origami or Chinese Origami, I also heard the term Tangrami

I made it . And turned out nice. I filled the empty space in the middle of the swan with duplicate flowers.

I'm making one now too :) Instead of small triangles, I'm using A4 paper each triangle :P

anyone know how to make a chinese dragon out of those triangles?

I am making one for my mum for Mothers day. I'm pretty sure she's gonna love it....

I find the triangles turn out a lot neater, if instead of folding the corners down, you cut off half of the rectangle that is sticking up. They seem to lay a lot flatter and are a lot less fiddly.
