How To: Make a great cup of cuban coffee

Make a great cup of cuban coffee

If you're like most busy workers, your day doesn't get started until you have your first jolt of fresh coffee. When you are feeling extra sluggish and need a boost, try a strong Cuban coffee that is sure to start your engine.

Not many things get you going like a good cup of coffee. Early in the morning, mid-day or anytime you need a quick pick me up. My favorite is Cuban coffee. Known for its strong and robust flavor, a little bit goes a long way. First, fill your espresso maker with water, place your filter basket in the bottom of the espresso maker and fill it with your coffee grounds. You want to fill it with coffee grounds until it get to the top of the basket. Pack it gently and level. Attach the top of the espresso maker, close it tight and place it on the stove. In a few minutes your coffee will begin to percolate. Now heres a special tip. In your mixing glass, place two teaspoons of sugar for every serving of coffee that youre going to make. This is a six cup coffee maker, so it will take twelve teaspoons of sugar. Now when the coffees ready, pour just a small amount into the sugar. Now mix this until it forms a paste. Once this is done, grab the rest of the coffee and pour it in slowly. This will create a sweet foam. Stir it until the paste is dissolved, and now pour. Enjoy.
