OK, so you've successfully Toiled Papered (TP'd) a house. You've had a ton of fun with your friends getting that house belonging to your friend, girlfriend, boyfriend, worst enemy, etc. And it's done, right? Wrong. They just got your house. And it's not pretty. Here's how to clean up your house and lawn when there is so much toilet paper that it looks like a blizzard hit.
Step 1
Survey the damage. So they toilet papered your house REALLY good. Before you start ripping all of the toilet paper down, look to where the long lines of it starts and ends. This can prevent leftover toilet paper all over the roof, tall trees, etc.
Step 2
Start The job. Start picking up the toilet paper and put it in a large garbage bag or two. Remember not to put it in a pile on the lawn or driveway because if the ground is wet, you'll have to scrape it off, and that is no fun.
Step 3
If you need to use a ladder to get some out of a high area, use caution. Many times the grass in the morning still has dew and water in it, and it could be slippery. You don't want to head down to the ER on the same day you were toilet papered.
Step 4
Use long sticks, poles, and rakes to reach high places. This is a safer way to get the toilet paper down than with a ladder.
Step 5
There aren't really any tips for you when picking up the little, shredded pieces of toilet paper off the grass. It just takes time and patience to get all of those pieces.
Step 6
Once you're done, put the toilet paper in your recycling bin carts with "Paper" labeled on it or flush it down the toilet.
Tips
- Have friends and family help. Picking up a TP'd house with others can help you brainstorm how to get the pranksters back!
- Don't yell in frustration at the mess when you first see it. TPing usually isn't meant to make you mad. Most of the time, it is just a joke. Try not to take it personally.
- Consider saving the toilet paper if you are planning on getting somebody back. Stuff it in trash bags, it's great to cover lawns, put inside uncovered boats etc.
- If you don't know who did this to you, clean up early in the morning if possible.When the guy who did this comes back to look at his handiwork (they normally will in the afternoon),it will look like it never happened. That'll teach them to mess with you!
- If your whole street got hit, try cleaning up other people's yards. This is good for the community and you might meet your neighbors if they see you doing this great thing.
- Often full rolls of toilet paper will get caught in trees when they throw them. Save these rolls so you don't have to buy as much when you go out TPing next time.
- If you need assistance to take down toilet paper, call your gardener(s).
- The more people who cooperate, the faster you will get this nasty task done!
Warnings
- Be very careful at all times when on a ladder!
- Do not reuse the toilet paper that was thrown on your house in your bathroom. That's just icky.
- Remove before it rains. Rain will turn the toilet paper to mushy glue and it will stick if it hits your driveway and you will have to scrape it off.
- If toilet paper is on the roof, DO NOT go on the roof if it's higher than a one story house. Use a long ladder. If not, you may slip and fall and hurt yourself.
- Do not spread the word about this whole thing. The people who did it will think it pisses you off and are likely to do it again.
