This video shows you how to build a cheapand effective homemade Steadicam. The cost of the weights were not included in the price because it fluctuates. We recommend old bike pegs because they are easy to attach and easy to mount but anything heavy works. If you want you can buy more male adapters and use the base plates as weights but that tends to be more expensive. Also the reason why we used tape was because it is cheap!

you will need:

-3 2ft 3/4 inch pvc pipe
-2 45 degree 3/4 inch adaptors
-1 tee Connector
-1 3/4 inch floor flange (base plate)
-1 1/4 x 3/4 bolt
-1/4 hex nut
-Duct tape
-several washers to help tighten the camera to the steadicam

Make sure everything screws in and fits!

Try your best to follow exactly what we did. the most important thing is finding a right weights to use. once you have the right ones selected (we recommend bike pegs) you must mount them. Duct tape works great but you can go more elaborate by screwing them down if you want to be extra safe.
After mounting weights you must put your camera on the rig. make sure the camera is balanced left and right before anything. if it isn't then make adjustments on how you mount it. REMEMBER THIS IS DIY you must IMPROVISE!
after getting left and right balance you must balance it forward and backward. if its too front heavy trim a few inches off the front end and then re attach the weight. be careful and do your best job because the better balanced the better it will be.

DONT BE AFRAID TO IMPROVISE!
