1. Getting to the waves is easy, if you know what you're doing.
2. If you're walking out, the way to do it is to meet the waves head on, have your surfboard to the side,
3. As the wave approaches, lift your board up.
4. Over and into the wave.
5. As you do, extend your elbows and lift your arms up so that you go up over the waves.
6. This will keep your head up and avoid the waves from splashing into your face.
