Because of the alcohol in the beer, (Barley, Hops, etc) it doesnt freeze. When removing the lid, Oxygen forms in it and causes a density increase.. When you tap its top, the Air is released, CO2 is formed and it instantaniously freezes

its true because usually when u freeze a bear, usually u move the fridge u disturb the beer so the beer freezes. If you freeze a bear without making it move the particles inside the beer stay stable and dont bounce around.when u disturb the beer the particles bounce which end up freezing the beer. thats how that reaction happens.

Is a great trick, sure. It's a better trick when the beer is warm, not cold enough, or the bottle breaks in the freezer.

This has happened to my beer before but I never knew why. This also explains why my beer doesn't freeze when I put it in the freezer. Great stuff :)

It Did work. It unfreezes pretty fast but no denying that it works, it helped me win a total of 3,250 dollars in a betting pool that it wouldnt work.
