Learn legal alternatives to live food, such as goldfish, to feed to piranhas. Frozen mussels, cockles, and lance fish all make great meals for this meat-eating fish. They make wonderful, more exotic pets. However, they have some special requirements you should be aware of. The video covers all their special needs, such as a the extra filtration needed in piranha tanks- double the amount as for other fish. Learn about internal and external filters, which will help to keep the water extra clean for them. Not only do piranhas like their water clean, but also dark. You can stop reading this article after the first sentence which states that piranhas are carnivorous. While it is true that they eat meat, they also eat plant matter which makes piranhas omnivorous. How can anyone trust anything else this author has to say?
