ok to start with monster cables are #$%@
24k gold plate plugs tarnish less than any other mettle coating hence the use of gold
split pin plugs are crap as the audio signal travels around the out side of the cable so when the signal gets to the plug it distorts the signal
3rd thing crimping your cables is something that should never be done especially as it changes the ohm rating of the cable
i could go on forever on this film you to college boys no jack #$%@

for true hi quality cables the chord company from the UK generally makes the best cabling
