YO THIS NEEDS A WARNING LABEL DO NOT DO IN YOUR HOUSE!!!!! I was impatient and burnt the sugar igniting the potassium nitrate causing my house to be completely filled with smoke oh and lighting my moms 150 rug on fire :-P but it works hahaha next time i know to cook outside and take time carmalizing :-D

Dude, 1 the police will eventually cacth you if your doing something illegal and 2 this doesn't make all that much smoke not like the military ones.

The colour doesn't work, the organic dye just burns. For coloured bombs you need different chemical mixes.

A card tube is a tube made out of cardboard, like a toilet paper roll, with the toilet paper gone.

And as he has said, you can get potassium nitrate from garden stores, it is also called salt peter.

And does anyone know anyway to make a ring pull igniter?

I have no way to confirm this as I have not tried it, but saltpeter (potassium nitrate) is the same thing as gunpowder, so it would most likely burn the F**k out of your hands and leave them charred and black(not orange);P

wrap it in atleast 5 layers of ductape youll be fine just hold it at arms legnth you wont turn orange and stand up wind of it

if u end up with to much smoke in ur face throw it Lol

Anyone know where to buy colored dye? I could care less what color it is but rather than a gray smoke I'd like to find something different. If someone could post a website where it is found or a major retail store I'd appreciate it. Thanks

yeah ..eeeuu.. sry to disapoint everyone but this #$%@ doesnt work ... it 's just a PROVEN hoax (by just type "ultimate colored smoke bomb" on google and it will gove 10000 sites that says this is ass-#$%@.. .. sry :(:(:( i wished it worked but when i tried it it's just like the dye didnt even exist ...

It's non-toxic,not poison but any combustion uses up oxygen and this will put off lots of heat.And the slag is way hot and kind of sticky.You will want to be back a couple of feet. If you put it in too strong of a container it could burst.A wax cardboard milk container is good.As is being somewhere else, if say, a concerned citizen were to summon a fire truck or perhaps the police.it could happen.

I blew up my moms kitchen because I dropped the smallest amount of the brown goo on the element... Our floor is ruined... and no joke, there is a hole in the metal pot I was cooking with.

I think that which ever concoctions you are creating, always use old utensils, so that the ones you use ( Or other people use) would not get ruined, especialy with making the solution (due to its stickiness, also when it drys, it is rock hard) So, old spoons and small old pots would work well with making any solution.

Nice. looks pretty ruddy good to me. I think common sense should be used in all experiments (regarding questions involving safety and usage of experimental utensils, fgs ppl, would u ever eat out of anything thats had potentially hazardous materials in it, not including your dishwasher obviously) , i am aware of the weed killer sugar mix causing major heat when lit, its definately an outside or shed/garage expermint lol. preferably using an electrical element/ring/hob.

cant wait to try it.

With regards to ring pull detonations, could u use simple tripwire detonator such as the end of a party popper? cut the bottle neck from the housing keeping the paper detonator intact inside and fix to any manor of explosive from crow scarers to (display) mortars with devasting effects, very dangerous but most amusing when using cat gut/nylon fishing line and whatever banger available to set up a low level tripwire (foot level as apposed to body often the cases can, well "go the wrong way") detenation across your drive before inviting your friends round to play gears of war 2 hehhehheh.

Just an sfter thought........ Could you not caramlise the sugar separately and use a pan of boiling water to submerge the mixture in as u add the other more dangerous materials and mix this way and if the water cools change it much as is sometimes done with evaporation techniques?

I cant see how the cooking is essential, as with the black powder preperation also in this jenre on this site.

Unecassary risks can and should be avoided. ;- P
